Coordinated Entry

Coordinated entry is a way people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness may find housing and get connected to resources in their community. In most counties in Wisconsin, you can get help at agencies that assist homeless people and/or people in poverty. You might be eligible if your primary nighttime residence is a public or private place not used as a regular sleeping accommodation for people. These places include a car, park, abandoned building, bus, train station, airport, or camping ground. In Waukesha County, individuals and families experiencing a housing crisis are encouraged to get connected with a service provider and complete a streamlined assessment to determine needs and vulnerability. Coordinated entry provides individuals and families with equal access for homeless services.
